New Products & Activities:

• BTRA IT Production Manager System:
  
  
  The Micro Controller based integrated data modules are developed to monitor the production activities of Textile machines & energy cost involved for the same, calculate the cost per unit production on timely basis & store data. The data is then transmitted to PC on 2 wire system, for machine wise analysis of production, cost & provide classified information to management. The information obtained on PC to management for immediate process control & maintain cost effectiveness.
  
  
• BTRA's Microbiological Laboratory:
  
  In the era of eco-friendly operations & use, the application of anti-microbial finishes has become necessary to control undesirable effects of microbes on the fabric. It becomes equally vital to check the efficacy of such treated textile materials. Keeping this in view, BTRA has initiated Assessment of Anti-microbial Applications. Bacterial & Fungal problems faced by textile technologists are also being evaluated by the newly started Microbiology/Biotechnology Division.

  • Antibacterial Activity Assessment of Textile Material/Fibres
  • Antifungal Activity assessment of Textile Materials/Packaging materials/fibres.
  • Resistance of Textile to Insects/Pests.
  • Antimicrobial activity assessment of Carpets/floor covering.
  • Testing of efficacy of antimicrobial finishing applied on high performance textiles - directly & after repeated laundary washes.
