Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA) has been pioneer in the field of research and testing of
technical textiles and allied textiles. Due to the sophisticated equipment BTRA has edge over the
other competitor in this field. The newly developed chemical laboratory has been enhanced with the
latest sophisticated equipment and machinery. It was a Memorable occasion for BTRA as the
redesigned chemical facility was inaugurated on 10th October, 2022 by the honourable Ms Roop
Rashi, Textile Commissioner, GOI, and Shri S K Saraf, Chairman BTRA Governing Council and Shri
Narendra Dalmia Vice Chairman. The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Shri Mohan
Kavrie – Director of Supreme Non-Woven, Shri Khosla – Director of Khosla Profil Pvt Ltd and Shri T.
Rajkumar chairman CITI.
This facility will help Textiles, chemical and other Dyes- auxiliaries Industries for their new and
existing requirements. Industry can take small trial by utilising the BTRA facility for new product
development and encourage new research work.
BTRA is consolidating its position by adopting and introducing the new technology for the benefit of
the industry. The Laboratory is now in par with the world standard parameter and this will help BTRA
grow at a rapid pace over the next few years.
